Don's Barbeque was established by brothers Don and Dalton Stone in 1976, and has
been family owned and operated for over 30 years. After a 20-plus year
run, Don and Dalton decided it was time to retire and the sold the business to
three of Don's children in 2002.
Although 'retired', Don and Dalton both still frequent the dining and
serving areas, taking part in the business and helping out when things get
frantic. And even during slack periods Don and Dalton can both be found enjoying
visiting with many customers who they have come to know as their extended family
over the years.
The original building was completely destroyed by fire in 2004. Even
during the rebuilding period, Don's barbeque remained in operation, selling
their delicious barbeque out of a mobile barbeque trailer and catering to groups
and meetings.
While maintaining what they could of their business without the main
building, the restaurant was rebuilt from the slab up. The dining area has
been updated and decorated in the traditional "Rustic Barbeque" motif. So
- if you are an old friend and haven't been by lately, then please drop in
pay a visit. Enjoy that same great barbeque and fresh, homemade "fixin's"
in the completely updated dining room. There is even a salad bar
on the menu to afford a greater variety of choice.
For those who have never been to Don's Barbeque, now is the time to try it
out - you will find it a very comfortable and friendly place where you can
enjoy great barbeque - or 'throttle back' a bit with some chicken or enjoy the salad
bar.
